Hot rolled plate and coil: On May 15th, the average price of 4.75mm hot rolled plate and coil in 24 major cities nationwide was 3884 yuan/ton, an increase of 30 yuan/ton compared to the previous trading day. In terms of demand, real estate investment and consumption are unlikely to improve, and there is still more rainfall in the south, which may have a certain impact on construction sites. The off-season characteristics are still evident, and the transaction heat has not been continuous. In terms of supply, after the notice of crude steel reduction in Fengnan District, Tangshan, the reduction policy has not been widely implemented, and steel mills generally undergo independent maintenance under profit pressure.

Cold rolled sheet coil: On May 15th, the average price of 1.0mm cold coil in 24 major cities across the country was 4507 yuan/ton, an increase of 5 yuan/ton compared to the previous trading day. On the 15th, black commodity futures fluctuated strongly, with spot prices in various regions slightly increasing compared to last week. From the market's understanding, spot transactions showed a significant improvement on the 15th, with increased speculative demand and downstream plans to increase procurement; At present, some regions have low inventory and sell scarce specifications at higher prices.

Medium thick plate: On May 15th, the average price of 20mm regular plate in 24 major cities across the country was 4221 yuan/ton, an increase of 5 yuan/ton compared to the previous trading day. On the 15th, black series futures rose, and prices on the national medium board were mixed. From the perspective of transaction performance, the market trading atmosphere is average, with prices fluctuating repeatedly, and downstream procurement mainly focuses on demand; At present, the inventory of medium board resources in the market is not high, and there are also reports of maintenance and production reduction for various varieties. However, due to weak demand, there is no clear support for price trends.
